DNA Altering | Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the DNA Altering application ("the App") handles permissions, data collection, and your privacy. By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Permissions

The App requests the following permissions, each of which is used solely to enable its core functionality:

Wake Lock — Prevents the device from sleeping while the App is actively in use.

Activity Recognition — Used to count your steps. Certain in-game characters (aliens) are unlocked when you reach specific step count milestones.

Internet — Required for crash reporting, in-app purchase verification, and loading advertisements.

Vibrate — Enables haptic feedback during interactions within the App.

Billing — Required for processing in-app purchases through the Google Play Store.

Access Network State & Access Wi-Fi State — Used to determine the device's network connectivity status, which is required for serving advertisements through Google AdMob.

Ad ID — Used by Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the App.

Data Collection

The App does not directly collect, store, or process any personal data. There is no account system, login, or registration of any kind.

However, the App integrates the following third-party services, which may collect data automatically:

Firebase Crashlytics — Collects crash reports, device information, and application performance data. This data is used to identify and fix bugs and improve the stability of the App.

Google Analytics for Firebase — Collects usage statistics, device identifiers, and application activity data. This data helps the developer understand how the App is used and identify areas for improvement.

Google AdMob — Collects device identifiers, network information, and ad interaction data in order to serve advertisements within the App.

All data collected by these services is sent to and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising & Consent (EEA Users)

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), a consent dialog is shown using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). This dialog allows you to choose whether you consent to personalized advertisements or prefer non-personalized advertisements.

You can change your consent preference at any time by pressing the "Unlock Alien" button within the phone app, which will contain the option to re-display the consent dialog.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected directly by the App and no account creation is required, there is no mechanism through which children's data could be stored by the developer.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
